The Qur'an was revealed to be recited as it was taught by Jibrīl (عليه السلام) to our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Tajweed II is designed for students who have completed the foundational principles of Tajweed and are ready to elevate their recitation through mastery, precision, and confident application.
This course moves beyond learning individual rules and focuses on applying them fluently while reciting the Qur'an. Students will strengthen their pronunciation, refine articulation (makhārij), perfect letter characteristics (ṣifāt), and develop consistency in applying the rules of nūn sākinah, mīm sākinah, madd, qalqalah, waqf and ibtidā' (stopping and starting), and other advanced principles of Tajweed.
With individualized instructor feedback and guided recitation, students will identify and correct common mistakes while developing greater fluency, confidence, and beauty in their recitation. Emphasis is placed on reading with excellence (iḥsān), preserving the Qur'an exactly as it has been transmitted for over fourteen centuries.
Students will also explore how proper Tajweed enhances reflection upon the Qur'an, allowing its meanings, rhythm, and eloquence to resonate more deeply in the heart. Through regular practice and personalized correction, learners will cultivate the skills necessary for lifelong Qur'an recitation and prepare for more advanced studies, including memorization (ḥifẓ) and ijāzah pathways.
